• Troubleshoot, service, install/deploy, and repair Trace, X-Ray, CT X-Ray, and Cargo Inspection equipment at customer sites • Maintain field service logs and job files until work is completed • Conduct customer follow-up calls to ensure satisfaction • Meet daily service repair needs and drive customer satisfaction • Communicate effectively with customers and foster positive customer relations • Install, repair, and maintain equipment in the field; provide customer training as required • Respond to emergency and unscheduled service calls within established response-time goals • Complete scheduled maintenance within required deadlines • Document inspections, maintenance, and repair work and submit paperwork promptly • Order, install, and return parts; manage repair-parts cycle time • Maintain accurate inventories of parts and tools • Maintain current technical certifications • Review logs for open issues and prepare formal customer reports as necessary • Participate in Service Sales opportunities and support revenue programs • Assess equipment performance using field-support data and recommend modifications or improvements • Provide technical support to customers and other service professionals • Participate in site surveys, pilot-program service activities, meetings, special projects, and exclusive reports as needed • Maintain tools and test equipment and ensure proper calibration • Collaborate with senior Field Service Technicians and Product Managers • Control and minimize costs while maximizing revenue • Submit expenses, time cards, and administrative tasks within specified timelines • Comply with company health, safety, environmental, export-control, and security policies
• Associate’s Degree, related trade certification in electrical, electronic, or mechanical fields, or military training in electrical, mechanical, or electronics • Equivalent comparative work and life experience of 1–3 years in a related electrical or mechanical field service role is acceptable • Minimum 1–3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic systems and equipment in the field • Computer literacy and competency with all programs in the MS Office Suite • Aptitude for learning specialized software programs • Excellent communication skills and strong customer-focus and teamwork orientation • Responsiveness to customer issues at all times • Willingness and ability to travel at short notice • Ability to obtain and maintain current technical certifications • Sensitive Security Information (SSI) access and TSA vetting • Successful federal background investigation • Ability to work Monday–Friday and potentially overtime, travel, and other work hours • Ability to lift/carry 80 lbs • Ability to push/pull 200 lbs • Ability to move/manipulate equipment weighing up to 1,000 lbs with appropriate devices • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, turn, and work in unusual positions requiring full-body mobility • Ability to work safely in extreme environments and around dangerous industrial equipment • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, telephone, customer-service, multitasking, and stressful-situation management skills • Must comply with applicable U.S. export-control and security regulations
