📋 Description

• Support and help lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items • Prepare monthly flux analyses and explain significant financial variances • Ensure general ledger integrity and U.S. GAAP compliance • Research, document, and implement technical accounting guidance under U.S. GAAP • Prepare technical accounting memos and maintain accounting policies • Evaluate accounting implications of new transactions and commercial arrangements • Prepare financial statements, disclosures, reporting packages, and audit-ready workpapers • Serve as a primary accounting contact for external auditors and coordinate audit requests • Support internal control walkthroughs, testing, implementation, and documentation • Partner with Finance, Legal, Revenue, People, and Operations • Review customer contracts and support equity issuances, financing activities, and strategic transactions • Assist with bonus accruals, commission accounting, and compensation-related accounting • Participate in special projects, system implementations, and process improvement initiatives • Automate accounting processes and build scalable accounting procedures and best practices • Help strengthen the company’s internal control environment

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting • CPA required or actively pursuing CPA • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or high-growth technology companies • Strong technical accounting knowledge under U.S. GAAP • Experience supporting financial statement audits • Experience preparing technical accounting memos and accounting policy documentation • Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and financial reporting • Experience supporting month-end close in a fast-paced environment • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities with exceptional attention to detail • Big Four or national public accounting experience preferred • CPA license preferred • High-growth SaaS, AI, or technology company experience preferred • Experience with project-based, milestone-based, or services revenue models preferred • Understanding of ASC 606 preferred • ASC 842 lease accounting experience preferred • Stock-based compensation accounting under ASC 718 preferred • Equity accounting, capitalization tables, and equity rollforwards experience preferred • Debt instruments, warrants, and complex financing transactions experience preferred • Annual financial statement audit experience preferred • Internal controls design and documentation experience preferred • Accounting systems or ERP implementation experience preferred • Familiarity with Salesforce, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar financial systems preferred • Venture-backed startup accounting function experience is a bonus • AI, cloud infrastructure, or professional services business experience is a bonus • Milestone or consumption-based revenue model experience is a bonus • Project accounting and percentage-of-completion or milestone billing experience is a bonus • Accounting white papers for auditors experience is a bonus • Financing or M&A due diligence experience is a bonus
