📋 Description

• Lead a high-performing team of Applied Field Engineers within the Applied Field Engineering organization • Coach the team through technical sales engagements • Drive execution excellence and ensure customers activate and consume Snowflake AI/ML capabilities • Translate team-level insights into feedback shaping broader strategy • Drive team performance toward Consumption Activation and production workload adoption • Coach AFEs on technical sales engagement best practices and prioritization • Review and guide customer architectures to prevent technical debt and ensure scalability • Participate in customer engagements as a player/coach, including architectural discussions and executive-level conversations • Aggregate field insights and communicate recurring product gaps and customer blockers to senior leadership • Partner with Sales leadership to align technical resources with regional pipeline and key account priorities • Participate in Communities of Practice and support knowledge-sharing initiatives • Recruit, onboard, and develop Applied Field Engineers • Build a culture of Technical Sales excellence across the sales and post-sales lifecycle • Conduct regular 1:1s, provide feedback, and support direct reports’ career development

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of industry experience in a pre-sales, technical sales, or technical consulting capacity • 2+ years of people management experience, preferably leading technical overlay or specialist teams • Ability to drive consumption-based activation and usage of software services, not just deal closures • Hands-on depth in at least one of: GenAI/LLMs, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, or Cloud Data Architecture • Ability to engage confidently with VP- and Director-level stakeholders and translate technical value into business outcomes • University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent experience • Compliance with Snowflake confidentiality and security standards • Ability to keep customer information secure and confidential
