📋 Description

• Research balances on accounts receivable and take necessary collection actions to resolve them promptly • Research assigned correspondence and resolve requests • Review and work correspondence folder requests • Make collection calls on outstanding claims • Identify and resolve billing errors, short payments, unpaid claims, and cash application issues • Identify potential risk and write-offs, report and escalate them to management • Research payer refund requests and status refunds according to findings • Document detailed notes in the company software system • Identify issues and trends and escalate to the Manager when assistance is needed • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers • Ensure compliance with governmental requirements, third-party contracts, and company policies • Communicate with branches, management, patients, and insurance carriers • Perform account analysis • Answer phones and take patient calls regarding balance questions • Use portals and other electronic tools • Ensure claims are on file after initial submission • Identify, escalate, and prepare potential payor projects for management and company liaisons • Write detailed appeals with supporting documentation • Monitor payor follow-up and appeal deadlines • Submit secondary claims

🎯 Requirements

• Previous Home Infusion and Acute/Specialty Infusion Pharmacy experience required • Must have home Infusion experience • High school diploma or equivalent required • Associate degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred • 1–3 years or more of strong collections experience • Knowledge of HCPC coding and medical terminology • CPR+ and Waystar systems experience preferred • Excellent math and writing skills • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills • Ability to prioritize, problem solve, and multitask • Word, Excel, and Outlook experience • Ability to work Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., 40 hours per week
