📋 Description

• Attend small claims hearings and other routine court proceedings at the San Mateo County Superior Court, serving as the company's authorized representative where permitted under applicable law. • Manage a portfolio of litigation matters, including maintaining case calendars, tracking deadlines, court orders, filings, and related documentation. • Coordinate with the Litigation Strategist, outside counsel, and court personnel to prepare for hearings, monitor case progress, and ensure matters are handled efficiently. • Prepare case summaries, hearing materials, status reports, and litigation updates for internal stakeholders and external business partners. • Organize and maintain litigation files and court records while identifying and escalating significant case developments, risks, or issues. • Serve as a liaison among the legal team, senior executives, outside counsel, court personnel, and external business partners. • Support litigation operations, process improvements, and other legal projects as the company continues to build its U.S. legal function.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably supporting California civil litigation. • A bachelor's degree and a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program (preferred), or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Experience with litigation case management, calendaring, court filings, hearing preparation, and case documentation. • Familiarity with California state court procedures; experience with the San Mateo County Superior Court and small claims proceedings is strongly preferred. • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • A polished, professional presence with the ability to build effective relationships.
