📋 Description

• Review and interpret RFP documents, project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates • Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing • Identify and quantify equipment and OEM requirements • Meet and maintain bidding schedules • Participate in estimate reviews • Work with subcontractors to define and obtain costs for minor scopes of work • Maintain vendor relationships and stay current on equipment models and manual changes affecting pricing • Identify project risks • Assist with risk matrix preparation and go/no-go decisions with management • Validate new equipment labor metrics with subject matter experts • Maintain updated estimate templates • Maintain and update cost databases and estimating software or Excel estimating templates • Develop and maintain an estimate version management process • Manage multiple pricing efforts and meet deadlines • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Working knowledge of utility-scale solar and BESS standard equipment and operation • Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience • Electrical and/or utility-scale solar or BESS operations and maintenance experience is a plus • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to read and understand specifications and drawings • Ability to make accurate judgments and calculations • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook • Exceptional Excel skills
