📋 Description

• Supporting PV corrective maintenance and repairs on SE projects • Supporting third party repairs and repowers with technical support and oversight • Performing site testing, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and energized electrical work strictly adhering to company and industry safety standards • Skilled with cable splicing and MV terminations • Ensuring a safe working environment through strict adherence to and enforcement of company and industry safety standards • Understanding, following and communicating safety regulations and work procedures • Preparing timely and accurate documentation and required reports • Managing a crew which may consist of temp employees (safety, job task, hours, QAQC, etc.) • Completing a job with the assistance of Technicians and Trainees • Working on various jobs simultaneously • Communicating effectively with teammates and onsite SE technicians

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or equivalent • Ability to travel 80% of time • Valid NFPA 70e Safety Training certification or equivalent • Demonstrated ability to recognize work hazards and mitigate using proper tools and procedures • Demonstrated ability to work alone and safely under any conditions • Ability to troubleshoot network and telemetry issues including fiber optic cables • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and symbols • Ability to identify and isolate an energized electrical source to create a safe working condition • Effective computer operation skills • Effective verbal and written English language communication skills • Effective organizational skills • Ability to provide estimates and project bids (such as materials, manpower hours, and timelines) • Ability to evaluate failures and provide detailed lists for estimates and reports • Ability to work at remote locations in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, inclement weather) • Ability to work on an “on call” basis (may include weekends or after-hours situations) • Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and ability to operate company vehicle • Confined Space – Entrant/Attendant/Supervisor • CPR/First Aid training • Be able to pass SE safety second training and if possible, substation switch person training • Equipment operator training and certifications • Basic metal fabrication skills • Job Safety Analysis • Electrical Testing Standard Operating Procedures • Knowledge of the operation and selection of the following equipment: Ground Fault locator, Fiber optic testers, Advanced skill sets such as: Fiber optic splicing kits (OTDR), Welding and metal fabrication, MV cable splices and terminations, Large crew management skills, TDR testing, IV Curve tracer, IR Camera and thermography, Various cable crimping tools such as String wire and Feeder wire crimpers and termination requirements, Digital Multimeter (1500V), 1kV Megger, Huck tools for tracker repairs and installation, 5/10KV Megger Oil Test Set
