• Manage the Bank’s private student loan products to ensure ELFI invests in high-value products and opportunities for customers and the business • Bridge customers, business strategy, technology, and execution to transform insights and objectives into a prioritized roadmap • Develop and own the customer discovery process and engage directly with student-lending customers • Validate product ideas and translate customer insights into product opportunities and roadmap recommendations • Own ELFI product strategy and maintain the product roadmap • Prioritize product investments using customer evidence, business value, technical feasibility, organizational capacity, budget, and other guidance • Evaluate new product opportunities and recommend organizational investments • Define product success metrics and use product analytics to evaluate performance and inform investment decisions • Represent ELFI on platform development efforts to ensure a consistent customer experience • Collaborate with Management, Legal, and Compliance on audits, reviews, issue remediation, and regulatory responses • Partner with development teams and external technology consultants to translate product priorities into requirements and delivery • Build alignment across Digital Solutions, Data & Analytics, Marketing, Operations, and business leadership • Communicate product strategy, roadmap priorities, tradeoffs, and progress to Bank executive leadership • Serve as liaison between customers, the business, and Digital Solutions • Follow information security, confidentiality, compliance, regulatory, and applicable student-lending law requirements • Participate in training sessions and policy updates • Work scheduled and other needed hours at designated locations and assist Management or Team Members as directed
• Required: 5+ years of Product Management experience leading customer-facing digital products • Preferred: Experience in financial services, lending, or other highly regulated industries • Preferred: Experience launching new products or improving existing customer experiences • Preferred: Experience with financial technology online lending and loan origination systems and platform development • Preferred: Familiarity with product analytics, and modern product development practices and the tools needed to do these effectively • Demonstrated experience owning product strategy, roadmap development, and prioritization • Strong customer discovery skills, with experience obtaining customer insights and translating those into product decisions • Excellent analytical skills through a Data-driven mindset and adept at using analytics to guide decision-making • Experience partnering closely with technology teams throughout the product lifecycle • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence leaders across multiple functions • Commitment to promoting equitable access to financial resources for all students • Ability to operate office equipment, telephones, and computers • Ability to communicate fluently in English, in person, in writing, and on the computer • Ability to hear, speak, and understand verbal communication • Ability to read, write, count, and perform basic math functions • Ability to move head, shoulders, neck, and arms freely (e.g. operation of office equipment) • Ability to use manual dexterity and fine manipulation for operating a keyboard, using equipment, filing, etc. • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds, grasp, reach, and pull • Ability to think, remember, learn new information, and apply cognitive data to job functions • Ability to assess and concentrate on mental and physical job tasks to see them to completion • Ability to work with others to share information and solve problems
