📋 Description

• Drive the strategy, development, and optimization of USGBC’s zero waste products and services, primarily TRUE and related offerings • Define, manage, and advance product vision and strategy • Develop and maintain product plans and roadmaps across development, maintenance, optimization, and retirement phases • Coordinate internal and external resources to execute product plans • Collect, synthesize, and prioritize customer, staff, and market inputs • Advocate for users and customers by representing their goals, pain points, and use cases • Collaborate across departments to meet business, customer, and mission objectives • Work with Product Owners and delivery teams on planning, prioritization, testing, release, and maintenance • Manage assigned products across their full lifecycle • Monitor and analyze product data to identify revenue, market impact, and customer satisfaction opportunities • Define and monitor product goals and success measures; report on progress, risks, and performance • Partner with finance, sales, and other teams on pricing strategy, packaging, and revisions • Improve sales effectiveness through enablement resources, guidance, and training • Drive continuous improvement and innovation across the product suite • Analyze target customer segments, market trends, policy and regulatory drivers, and competition • Create product management artifacts including customer definitions, value propositions, and benefit statements • Support messaging, campaigns, and go-to-market approaches with market-facing staff • Manage junior staff as needed and supervise contractors

🎯 Requirements

• 5-7 years of relevant product management experience • Familiarity with USGBC and GBCI mission, internal operations, and stakeholders • Professional experience in sustainable resource management • Understanding of zero waste concepts and practices and/or knowledge of the TRUE rating system • Bachelor's degree (required) • Demonstrated skills with Microsoft tools • Experience with one or more project/product management systems such as JIRA, Notion, or ProductPlan • Ability to communicate complex issues effectively with peers, senior leadership, and key stakeholders • Ability to engage and build consensus across various levels of leaders in a matrixed organization through collaboration and influence • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work and communicate with diverse staff • LEED GA or AP accreditation or TRUE Advisor preferred • Advanced degree preferred • More than 7 years of product or program management experience in green building, commercial real estate, zero waste, or equivalent areas preferred
