📋 Description

• Apply AI/agentic tooling to DevOps and infrastructure, including automated remediation, anomaly detection, capacity and cost optimization, and agent-assisted incident response and runbook execution • Apply AI to information security, including log and alert triage, compliance evidence collection, vulnerability prioritization, and phishing/threat detection, with human sign-off for security-critical actions • Drive organization-wide AI enablement for technical operations • Set guardrails for safe AI adoption in a regulated environment, including data handling, auditability, and model/tool vetting • Own the reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency of AWS-native infrastructure • Drive CI/CD maturity, infrastructure-as-code practices, and consistency across development, staging, and production environments • Own logging, monitoring, alerting, observability, and incident response processes; reduce MTTR • Manage on-call rotations and runbooks • Own security posture for a HIPAA- and CMS-regulated platform, including policies, controls, risk assessments, and audit readiness • Lead SOC 2/HIPAA compliance programs, vendor security reviews, and incident response • Partner with engineering on secure-by-default practices, secrets management, least-privilege IAM, PHI handling, and encryption • Own security awareness training and access governance • Manage corporate IT, including onboarding/offboarding, endpoint management, SSO/identity, device security, and helpdesk support • Own vendor and SaaS management, procurement, licensing, and access reviews • Build scalable self-service IT processes • Build and lead a small, high-leverage team as the function grows • Partner with the VP of Engineering, Data Engineering, and Product • Represent technical operations to the board, auditors, and enterprise customers/partners • Set and report operational KPIs, including uptime, deployment frequency, MTTR, and security findings closure rate • Report directly to the SVP, Engineering

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in a technical operations, DevOps, infrastructure, or security leadership role • Ideally 2+ years managing people or leading cross-functional initiatives • Deep hands-on experience with AWS; IAM, networking, serverless, and container services • Direct experience with security compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001), including having been through an audit • Strong infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD skills • Experience in a regulated or high-stakes environment such as healthcare, fintech, or insurance is a strong plus • Comfortable with ambiguity and incremental decisions • Excellent judgment under pressure • Clear communication of technical risk to non-technical stakeholders • All work must be conducted from an approved location within the U.S. • Employment eligibility in the United States is verified through E-Verify
