📋 Description

• Develop detailed understanding of end-to-end processes in assigned areas, including stakeholders, systems, accounting processes, and internal controls supporting reporting • Ensure proper flow of capital assets from inventory warehouse to work in progress and capitalization of in-service assets • Apply an end-to-end process viewpoint to assigned work and analysis • Compile and review journal entries in compliance with GAAP and support period-end close activities • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate and resolve variances promptly • Perform period-end analysis and close activities, identifying leading indicators and trends for timely business decisions • Foster communication and teamwork within and across organizational boundaries • Support internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance • Complete special projects and analyses requested by department leadership • Provide general business support for partners and internal customers • Keep abreast of accounting, reporting, and disclosure standards from FASB, SEC, and PCAOB • Analyze and support the impact of accounting and reporting standard changes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university focusing in Accounting or Financial Accounting • Minimum of one year of practical general ledger accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting and/or corporate accounting environment • Knowledge and understanding of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (U.S. GAAP) • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications • Intermediate knowledge of Excel • Functional knowledge of general and corporate accounting processes and internal controls • Ability to understand and communicate accounting issues, including developing processes to record them • Superb attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, and ability to multitask, prioritize, and deliver results • Experience in process improvement activities • Passion for learning, continuous improvement, and personal growth • Ability to work extra hours as needed to support the financial close process • Proficiency with Oracle Fusion preferred • Job offers are contingent upon background, drug screening, and reference check results
