Sprinter Health is a hybrid in-home and virtual primary care provider that expands access to proactive, preventive healthcare by combining community-based, W-2 “Sprinters” (trained phlebotomists with medical assistant and community health worker skills) who perform hands-on diagnostics and wellness checks in patients’ homes with a virtual clinical team of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and care navigators. 📋 Description

• Review and abstract professional medical records, including provider notes, encounters, and supporting documentation • Assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and applicable modifiers according to national and payer-specific coding guidelines • Validate that codes are supported by provider documentation and query providers for clarification when necessary • Maintain coding quality metrics, including accuracy, productivity, and compliance • Participate in internal and external coding audits • Provide feedback to improve documentation and coding processes • Stay current with CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and CMS risk adjustment guideline updates • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and compliance standards • Work independently in a remote setting while collaborating with a purpose-driven team

🎯 Requirements

• Active AAPC certification (e.g., CPC, COC) or AHIMA certification (CCS-P, CCS) • Minimum 3 years of Pro-Fee coding experience • Strong understanding of HCC / risk adjustment coding principles • Excellent command of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, disease progression, and pharmacology • Deep familiarity with CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and modifier assignment • Ability to work independently and maintain productivity in a remote setting • Strong communication and problem-solving skills • Proficient in EHR systems, encoder/coding software, and Google tools • Reliable internet connection and dedicated, secure workspace • Experience with Elation EMR • Proficiency with Google Suite (docs, slides, sheets)
