📋 Description

• Analyze clinical data, identify trends, and report findings • Abstract and maintain comprehensive data from clinical records according to clinical and regulatory requirements • Mitigate definitional issues and resolve chart documentation discrepancies • Complete timely validation checks to support high interrater reliability • Disseminate medical-record data accurately according to governing-body rules, algorithms, and protocols • Adapt to registry and regulatory changes • Collaborate with internal team members and external vendors to support inter-rater reliability, data accuracy, and timely submission • Contribute to specialized committee and work-group meetings focused on process improvements and patient outcomes • Identify process-improvement opportunities, trends, and new processes • Review and resolve clinical data discrepancies or outliers on completed abstracts • Communicate performance considerations and improvement opportunities to appropriate parties • Report findings, opportunities, and trends to management • Extract facts from medical records using knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy • Complete assigned certifications and exams when required • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience • One year of experience in healthcare or a related field • Detail-oriented • Self-motivated • Ability to function well in a team environment • Effective written and oral communication skills • Willingness to reach out with questions • Critical thinking skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Experience with EPIC • Experience in database management • Familiarity with stroke patients • Background in data abstraction • Ability to complete required certifications and pass assigned exams • Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. • Required professional license and/or certifications: None
