📋 Description

• Schedule and/or pre-register outpatient procedures and appointments • Obtain and verify patient demographic, insurance, and clinical information • Use scheduling, eligibility, registration, TRACE, and automated dialer software • Triage appointments and provide exam preparation instructions • Avoid testing conflicts and offer scheduling flexibility across units • Perform pre-registration, eligibility verification, benefit analysis, authorization, and point-of-service collection • Review incoming fax orders and index them in TRACE • Communicate discrepancies and payer requirement changes to appropriate departments and management • Obtain clinical and demographic information from referring offices and insurance companies • Document authorization numbers, validity dates, accounts, and registration updates • Collaborate with referring offices, hospital departments, payers, Quality Management, financial counseling, PFS, and Revenue Cycle teams • Support retro-authorization requests and claims-denial resolution • Maintain patient confidentiality and positive working relationships • Participate in quality improvement, meetings, webinars, and assigned educational activities • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • PC skills, including Word and Excel • Strong interpersonal and organization skills • Proven track record of excellent customer service skills • Good typing and data entry skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality • Organization and prioritization skills • 1-year experience in call center, office, healthcare, or other team-oriented setting • Required to attend monthly staff meetings, with possible evening or weekend hours • Responsible for completing annual hospital and department educational requirements • Adherence to St. Elizabeth Healthcare policies and procedures
