📋 Description

• As an IDI disability claims analyst you will secure and analyze claim information to make disability claim decisions, including complex and high liability claims while also delivering excellent and timely customer service • Investigate, secure, and analyze information pertaining to claimants' medical condition, occupational demands, work earnings, business income/expenses, insured status, and other policy provisions to accurately determine eligibility for disability benefits • Evaluate the insurance application for accuracy and consistency, engaging Underwriting, Legal, and other teams as needed • Work in partnership with medical, vocational, and financial resources supporting a thorough and consistent claim evaluation • Make and communicate disability approval decisions and issue correct benefits.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred but in lieu of degree, IDI claims experience may substitute • A minimum of 3+ years of disability claims processing experience with at least 2 years of IDI specific claims experience • Ability to understand and interpret all claim evaluation materials such as contract language, medical records, financial records and legal correspondence • Experience acting as a liaison with underwriting, reinsurance carriers, sales, private investigators, etc. • Recognize, understand and respond to situations involving potentially fraudulent activity and/or litigation to ensure a defensible file • Effectively identify and prioritize critical objectives focusing on high impact components • Provide effective leadership.
