📋 Description

• Develop persuasive, compliant RFP responses and grant applications for county behavioral health programs across California • Lead end-to-end proposal development, including requirement tracking, reviewer coordination, version control, and final readiness reviews • Collaborate with executive leaders, clinical teams, finance, and regional administrators • Articulate program models, staffing strategies, service outcomes, and community partnerships • Gather programmatic, operational, and financial data from internal teams • Audit narratives against RFPs, amendments, Q&A releases, and scoring rubrics • Craft competitive proposals for wraparound, inpatient, outpatient, school-based, and community behavioral health services • Leverage and adapt existing proposal frameworks to meet strict funder requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in public health, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience) • Proven track record of developing successful government proposals and RFP responses • Strong project management skills for end-to-end proposal development • Preferred experience writing proposals for California-based behavioral health and mental health programs • Exceptional writing, editing, organizational, and communication skills • Ability to produce clear, persuasive content under tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities, draft cycles, and stakeholder feedback • Skilled at gathering programmatic, operational, and financial data • Strict adherence to funder requirements • Experience auditing narratives against RFPs, amendments, Q&A releases, and scoring rubrics • Proficient in Microsoft Word and collaborative document review workflows • Hands-on ability to leverage AI-supported proposal tools • Ability to verify, customize, and align AI content while safeguarding sensitive organizational and client data • Equivalent professional experience may substitute for the stated degree
