📋 Description

• Conduct high-volume outbound patient calls regarding laboratory results and follow-up needs • Communicate approved information, answer patient questions within scope, and escalate clinical concerns to licensed clinicians • Manage inbound asynchronous patient messages and requests • Provide guidance within established protocols and ensure timely resolution or escalation • Review symptoms, concerns, and requests; identify situations requiring clinical attention and route patients according to triage protocols • Support laboratory follow-ups, appointment coordination, referrals, and client-specific care needs • Review patient charts, medical histories, medications, and clinical information for clinician visits • Communicate with pharmacies to resolve prescription issues, assist with medication overrides, and support prior authorization workflows

🎯 Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant • Awareness of medical/legal issues, patient rights, and compliance with relevant guidelines including HIPAA • Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and assess data appropriate to patients’ age-specific needs • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in primary care • Experience with electronic medical records systems • Effective communication skills • Compassionate and professional webside manner • Superior time management skills and ability to meet deadlines • Willingness to learn new ways to accomplish tasks • High standards of personal and professional conduct
