📋 Description

• Manage accounting for assigned properties and portfolios • Prepare monthly financial statement packages • Record journal entries, including accruals, depreciation, and amortization • Perform general ledger analysis and account reconciliations • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes • Analyze financial results and prepare variance explanations • Review income statements, balance sheets, and supporting schedules • Assist with budgeting and forecasting • Prepare operating expense reconciliations and client deliverables • Support Property Management and leadership with financial information • Perform day-to-day accounting tasks across assigned portfolios • Maintain accurate property-level accounting records • Assist with new property transitions and client onboarding • Communicate with Property Management teams and internal stakeholders • Respond to accounting-related inquiries and escalate complex issues • Collaborate with team members and support recurring processes • Share knowledge and support training of less experienced team members • Ensure adherence to standardized processes and internal controls • Identify and support process improvements and system enhancements • Maintain audit-ready documentation and support internal and external audits

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred • 3–6+ years of accounting experience, preferably in property accounting or real estate • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting • Experience with property accounting systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar) • Strong accounting and analytical skills • Attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to manage multiple priorities with growing independence • Problem-solving and critical thinking • Communication and collaboration
