📋 Description

• Own day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close • Process vendor invoices in Bill.com and code transactions to correct budget/GL accounts • Maintain 1099 vendor tracking and management, including W-9 collection, 1099 classification, and year-end filing support • Track receipts, code transactions, and reconcile monthly credit card statements using Bill.com and QuickBooks Online • Perform monthly bank reconciliations across all company accounts and resolve discrepancies • Close out assets and liabilities each month and prepare balance sheet reconciliations • Work closely with the VP of Finance during month-end close and flag anomalies or issues early • Support special projects such as fundraising data room preparation, process improvement, and systems migration

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5+ years of accounting experience, ideally with a startup or small business, including full-cycle month-end close • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Bill.com (required) • Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and closing asset/liability accounts, not just transactional bookkeeping • High attention to detail and comfort working independently with minimal oversight • Strong written and verbal communication skills for close collaboration with the VP of Finance • Solid understanding of accrual-basis accounting • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (nice to have) • Experience preparing books for fundraising due diligence or external audit (nice to have)
