📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and enhance domain-specific data products and data models using dbt and Snowflake • Partner with the Data Domains team to identify and incorporate enterprise data for business-critical products • Translate business requirements into scalable, reusable technical solutions • Design and implement solutions for complex ad hoc data requests • Perform data validation, reconciliation, root cause analysis, and quality assurance • Investigate data quality and production issues and implement sustainable solutions with cross-functional teams • Design and maintain configuration-driven solutions for complex business rules • Ensure data models are traceable, documented, tested, and audit-ready • Analyze interactions among data, business rules, configurations, and downstream reporting • Become the technical subject matter expert for assigned business domains • Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate functional requirements into technical solutions • Work with Data Engineering, DevOps, Data Governance, Analytics, and other teams on quality, security, performance, and governance • Evaluate data products and technical designs for scalability, performance, maintainability, usability, and quality improvements • Create and maintain technical documentation, business rules, configuration documentation, validation procedures, and data definitions • Process confidential and sensitive data according to organizational policies and regulatory requirements • No formal supervisory responsibilities

🎯 Requirements

• Five (5) to Seven (7) years of relevant professional experience with data analysis • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills • Demonstrated experience communicating with various stakeholders including teachers and school leaders • Self-motivated to solve emergent issues with the best available tools and work collaboratively with team members and data analysts • MS365 proficiency • Experience with data analysis, modeling, design and documentation • Experience developing reports and/or dashboards with MS Access, MS Power BI, or Excel • Knowledge of programming standards and techniques, ideally with experience writing SQL • Ability to communicate technology concepts effectively with technically proficient and non-technically proficient individuals • Effective customer service and interpersonal skills • Strong organizational and time management skills • Ability to travel 10% of the time • Ability to clear required background check • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, technology, or education leadership (desired) • Experience working in education with academic data sets (desired) • Experience developing dashboards in business intelligence tools such as PowerBI (desired) • Experience scripting in Python for ETL processes (desired) • Experience working in Snowflake, DBT, Streamsets and/or Alation (desired)
