📋 Description

• Support full E-IDS system integration across data, layouts, network components, and facility workflows • Gather operational requirements directly from FAA facilities • Build LDAs by mapping NDC fields to site-specific operational needs • Validate data accuracy, layout behavior, system interfaces, and interoperability • Deploy configurations and support iterative refinement across test and operational environments • Document field mappings, layout decisions, template structures, system behaviors, and configuration changes • Support hardware setup, logistics coordination, software configuration, and cutover activities • Verify implementation packages before deployment • Troubleshoot connectivity, Linux operational issues, interface problems, and data synchronization issues • Support deployment and commissioning activities across multiple sites • Work across multidisciplinary engineering teams • Communicate technical issues to engineering and management audiences • Advance the FAA’s Brand New Air Traffic Control System and support the safety, efficiency, and modernization of the National Airspace System

🎯 Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance • One of the following education/experience combinations: Bachelor’s degree and 12 years’ related experience; Master’s degree and 10 years’ experience; Associate’s degree and 14 years’ experience; or high school diploma/equivalent and 16 years’ experience • Experience with hardware and software deployment/installation in enterprise environments • Hands-on experience configuring, managing, and validating Cisco, Dell, and/or HPE/Aruba infrastructure technologies • Experience analyzing end-to-end system functionality, validating architecture, tracing data flows, and troubleshooting interface issues • Hands-on experience supporting Linux-based systems and environments • Must reside within the contiguous United States • Able to travel 50–75% of the time to CONUS and potentially OCONUS locations • Ability to interpret Interface Control Documents, engineering drawings, and technical baselines • Ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues using standard Cisco diagnostic commands • Experience integrating communications equipment with enterprise networks • Experience supporting deployment and commissioning activities • Ability to troubleshoot common Linux operational issues • Ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams • Ability to communicate technical issues to engineering and management audiences • Ability to analyze and resolve technical problems in a structured manner • Preferred: familiarity with FAA NAS, E-IDS, or other mission-critical operational systems • Preferred: understanding of ATC operational workflows and time-critical information requirements • Preferred: knowledge of LDA, NDC, and operational display configuration • Preferred: systems integration experience in complex, multi-vendor environments • Preferred: experience with Cisco Web GUI, Dell OpenManage, and HPE/Aruba Web Interface • Preferred: experience with interface configuration tools, layout editors, template management, and page builders • Preferred: knowledge of relational databases, schemas, data normalization, and data relationships • Preferred: experience troubleshooting operational data synchronization and interface inconsistencies • Preferred: understanding of human factors engineering and usability principles • Preferred: experience supporting multi-site deployments, site readiness assessments, and commissioning • Preferred: familiarity with systems engineering lifecycle processes, configuration management, and change control
