📋 Description

• Deliver specific Business & Technology Career Exploration and elective course content for grades 9-12 in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process and focusing on individual student needs • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Work with students and parents to advance learning and develop and monitor post-secondary success plans using online tools • Provide rich synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Personalize learning, differentiate instruction, and augment course content using approved tools • Maintain the grade book and make placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate with students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Travel as required for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and school needs • Apply State, National, and Industry Specific learning standards • Develop instructional tools and strategies to supplement the curriculum • Collaborate with the school and national professional learning community • Support a project-based learning model

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree • Active CTE state teaching certification OR active high school grade-level state teaching certification with CTE Validation • Must reside in Ohio • Ability to clear required background checks • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office during the workday, typically 9-5 or 8-4, or as defined by the school • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic student-data representations and use them for instructional decisions • Receptive to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Travel as required, on average once per month and/or up to 25% of the time • Desired: experience with the proposed age group • Desired: experience supporting adults and children using technology • Desired: online/virtual and/or brick-and-mortar teaching experience • Desired: project-based learning experience
