📋 Description

• Deliver specific Health and Physical Education course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Augment course content using approved online tools and policies • Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to student performance and progress concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate with students and parents/learning coaches • Support parents and learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Monitor student progress through Stride K12's learning management system • Travel approximately once per month and/or 20% of the time for professional development, student testing, and other school requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Appropriate state Department of Education Health & PE Teaching Certification Required • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • North Carolina or South Carolina residency preferred • May consider candidates residing in Georgia, Tennessee, or Virginia • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Experience working with the proposed age group • Experience supporting adults and children in using technology • Experience teaching online and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment • Experience with online learning platforms • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
