📋 Description

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality live lessons in AP Chinese Language and Culture tailored to individual student needs • Prepare students for the AP Chinese examination, including listening, reading, speaking, writing and cultural competency • Use teaching strategies and digital tools to create an interactive and supportive online learning environment • Assess student progress, provide targeted feedback, and adapt teaching approaches • Plan and communicate course schedules, lesson content and assessment timelines • Set meaningful homework and design and administer assessments • Develop educational materials and contribute to CGA’s learning resources • Maintain a professional and well-organised online classroom and learning environment

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience in a school setting; tutoring experience cannot be counted • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chinese, Languages, Education, Linguistics or a related field • High proficiency in Mandarin Chinese • Strong understanding of Chinese language instruction across reading, writing, listening and speaking • Exceptional communication skills for interaction with students, parents and the CGA team • Familiarity with online teaching platforms • Ability to teach within at least one suitable recurring class window • Preferred: Previous experience teaching AP Chinese Language and Culture or preparing students for the AP Chinese examination • Preferred: Strong knowledge of the US/AP curriculum and College Board AP Chinese requirements • Preferred: Recognised teaching qualification, such as a postgraduate certificate in education, teaching degree or teaching licence • Preferred: Previous online teaching experience
