📋 Description

• Deliver specific high school math course content in an online environment • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Manage the learning process and monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Maintain the grade book and make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Augment course content using approved synchronous and asynchronous tools • Travel as required for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and school functions • Collaborate with teachers to interpret student data and use it to drive instructional decisions

🎯 Requirements

• Active High School Math certificate • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office during the workday • Experience working with the proposed age group preferred • Experience supporting adults and children using technology preferred • Experience teaching online/virtual or in a brick-and-mortar environment preferred • Experience with online learning platforms preferred • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data • Ability to use student data to drive instructional decisions • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint preferred • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
