📋 Description

• Deliver specific course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning to students' individual needs • Monitor student progress through Stride K12's learning management system • Work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to advance learning toward established goals • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Augment course content using prescribed asynchronous and synchronous tools under principal and coach guidance • Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Travel as required, averaging once per month and/or approximately 20% of the time, for professional development, student testing, and school functions

🎯 Requirements

• Alabama Spanish Teaching Certificate • Alabama residency required • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Ability to work school hours, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school • Experience working with the proposed age group (desired) • Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology (desired) • Experience teaching online and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment (desired) • Experience with online learning platforms (desired) • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data (desired) • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint (desired) • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms (desired) • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum (desired)
