📋 Description

• Deliver specific high school Spanish course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Maintain the grade book and uphold student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions and alert administrators to performance concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate with students, parents, and learning coaches • Support parents and learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting • Collaborate with teachers to interpret student data and drive instructional decisions • Travel as required for professional development, student testing, and school functions

🎯 Requirements

• Spanish teaching certificate for Grades 8-12 • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Must reside in Texas • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office during the workday • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic student-data representations • Ability to use student data to drive instructional decisions • Receptive to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification and professional development hours • Fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum • Experience with the proposed age group • Experience supporting adults and children using technology • Experience teaching online/virtually and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment • Experience with online learning platforms
