📋 Description

• Deliver specific high school English course content in an online environment • Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Augment course content using appropriate asynchronous and synchronous tools under principal and coach guidance • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Collaborate with teachers to interpret student data and use it to drive instructional decisions • Participate in required travel for professional development, student testing, and other school functions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree • Active Oklahoma state teaching license / Oklahoma High School English Teaching Certification • Ability to clear required background check • Must reside in Oklahoma • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Ability to work school hours, typically 9–5 or 8–4, or as defined by the school • Ability to travel as required, averaging once per month and/or approximately 20% of the time • Experience working with the proposed age group • Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology • Experience teaching online and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment • Experience with online learning platforms • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
