• Direct and coordinate educational, administrative, and counseling activities • Ensure educational programs conform to state and local school board standards • Research and implement non-K12 curriculum resources meeting state standards as needed • Articulate the school’s mission and vision to align stakeholders • Use communication technologies supporting a predominantly virtual/remote work environment • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding special education and categorical programs • Interface with students, families, Municipal Court systems, and local districts regarding attendance and engagement compliance • Develop and oversee implementation of the Student Achievement Improvement Plan • Supervise and evaluate teaching staff • Manage teacher performance and provide training for professional development • Manage Master and Lead Teachers and programs • Confer with teachers, students, and parents regarding educational and behavioral problems • Coordinate with teachers and K12 Enrollment regarding expulsions and withdrawals • Supervise 15–30 FTE regular employees and/or contractors • Interview, hire, train, assign, direct, and appraise employees; reward and discipline staff; address complaints and resolve problems
• Active Texas Principal certification • Texas resident • Previous supervisory experience • Master’s degree and five (5) years of educational experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Ability to clear required background check • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio • Web proficiency • Ability to travel 20% of the time for meetings, professional development, etc. • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Previous experience as an online Educator preferred • Previous administrative experience preferred
