📋 Description

• Deliver specific middle school mathematics course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Maintain the grade book and make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate with students and parents/learning coaches in a timely manner • Support parents/learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Collaborate with teachers to interpret student data and drive instructional decisions • Travel as required for professional development, student testing, and school functions

🎯 Requirements

• Active Texas Middle School Mathematics Teaching Certification • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Texas residency • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office during the workday • Experience working with the proposed age group • Experience supporting adults and children using technology • Experience teaching in online/virtual and/or brick-and-mortar environments • Experience with online learning platforms • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic student-data representations • Ability to use student data to drive instructional decisions • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
