📋 Description

• Deliver specific middle school science course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Maintain the grade book and uphold student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions and alert administrators to performance concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate with students and parents/learning coaches • Support parents/learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Augment course content using synchronous and asynchronous tools under principal and coach guidance • Travel as required for professional development, student testing, and school functions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • Active Florida state teaching license • Florida 5 Year Professional 5-9 OR 6-12 Science Certificate • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction • Experience working with the proposed age group preferred • Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology preferred • Experience teaching in online/virtual and/or brick-and-mortar environments preferred • Experience with online learning platforms preferred • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
