📋 Description

• Deliver specific middle school science course content in an online environment • Provide synchronous and asynchronous instruction, support, and guidance • Personalize and differentiate learning based on student mastery • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Maintain the grade book and student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Build and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and learning coaches/parents • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Augment course content using approved synchronous and asynchronous tools • Travel approximately once per month and/or 20% of the time for professional development, student testing, and school functions • Collaborate with administrators, coaches, teacher trainers, and other teachers to support student outcomes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree • Active state teaching license • Oklahoma Elementary OR Science Certification required • Must reside in Oklahoma • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Ability to work school-defined hours, typically 9-5 or 8-4 • Experience working with the proposed age group • Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology • Experience teaching in an online/virtual and/or brick-and-mortar environment • Experience with online learning platforms • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
