📋 Description

• Deliver specific art course content through rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous online learning experiences • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process and addressing students’ individual needs • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to advance learning toward established goals • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Augment course content using appropriate asynchronous and synchronous tools under principal and coach guidance • Maintain the grade book and make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate with students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Collaborate with teachers to interpret and use student data to drive instructional decisions • Travel up to 20% for professional development, student testing, and/or school requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Appropriate state Department of Education Art Teaching Certification • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Availability for instructional hours between 9–5 EST or 8–4, based on school needs • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic student-data representations • Ability to use student data to drive instructional decisions • Receptive to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to modern technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time • Desired: experience working with the proposed age group • Desired: experience supporting adults and children in using technology • Desired: experience teaching online/virtually and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment • Desired: experience with online learning platforms
