📋 Description

• Deliver specific health course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Maintain the grade book and protect student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions and alert administrators to performance concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish rapport with families and communicate with students and parents/learning coaches • Support parents and learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Collaborate with teachers to interpret student data and use it to guide instruction

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree • Active state teaching license • Appropriate state Department of Education Health Teaching Certification • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction • Availability for instructional hours between 9–5 EST or 8–4 • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and use student data for instructional decisions • Receptive to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers • Ability to embrace change and adapt to support student outcomes • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to learn and adapt to modern technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum • Up to 20% travel for professional development, student testing, and/or school requirements
