• Lead, coach, and mentor a 7-member national MSL team • Conduct routine field visits and one-on-one meetings to provide observation, feedback, and career development guidance • Monitor and improve team performance using data, dashboards, and performance trends • Implement inclusive leadership practices to recruit, retain, and motivate a diverse, high-performing team • Translate therapeutic area and Medical Affairs strategy into actionable regional field priorities and objectives • Ensure execution of field medical programs, including product launches, proactive initiatives, clinical education, and scientific exchange • Serve as a scientific leader and strategic thought partner on disease-state knowledge, product information, and evidence generation • Oversee collection, analysis, and communication of Medical Insights • Partner with Medical Affairs, Scientific Affairs, and other internal stakeholders to align field activities with company objectives • Facilitate compliant communication with cross-functional partners • Lead or participate in company initiatives • Ensure MSL activities and communications are ethical, compliant, and adhere to regulatory guidelines • Reinforce professional standards, accountability, and performance integrity • Use evidence and AI-informed data to guide team decisions and optimize engagement strategies
• Advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) required • Minimum of 8 years’ experience, including at least 3 years leading a field-based MSL team and 5 years in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry roles • Significant leadership experience in solid tumor oncology including pre-launch and launch experience required • Recent Lung Cancer experience highly preferred • Proven track record of building and optimizing field medical teams, supporting product launches, and managing through leaders • Experience in a biotech or fast paced, evolving environment preferred • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills • Exceptional communication/influence and executive presence; roll-up-the-sleeves leadership style • Resilience, composure, and effective decision-making in a dynamic and challenging environment with multiple competing priorities • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities • Ability to thrive in a matrixed, cross-functional environment • Demonstrated ability to motivate, develop, and retain high-performing teams • Willingness to travel up to 70% as needed
