📋 Description

• Lead technical collateral development for in-house embedded system products • Define and implement data center and server technologies • Create proof of concepts and technical feature paper presentations • Differentiate Supermicro products through online and industry event activities • Serve as the subject matter expert for application benchmarks in networking, databases, and virtualization • Apply knowledge of CPUs, DRAM, flash-based storage, and motherboards to develop and integrate embedded system products and solutions • Execute benchmark testing and build proof of concepts using data center technologies and Supermicro embedded products • Collaborate with product managers and system engineers on technical marketing presentations and white papers • Research new technologies and products to propose new proof of concepts • Work with Sales, FAE, and customers to provide networking solutions and technical knowledge

🎯 Requirements

• Strong knowledge of server architecture, including PCIe, SATA, and SAS protocols • Knowledge of operating system concepts • Knowledge of distributed computing is a plus • Experience configuring Windows Server, Ubuntu, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux • Experience with scripting languages including PowerShell, Linux Shell, C/C++, and JavaScript is strongly desirable • Strong knowledge of server hardware and architectures, including PCI Express and out-of-band management • Experience in technical writing • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred/optional • Minimum 5 years of systems engineering experience in embedded hardware products is preferred/optional • Ability to work remotely in the Memphis, Tennessee geographic location • Regular attendance at customer sites as needed
