📋 Description

• Streamline efficiencies across Surefire Cyber’s service offerings • Oversee and drive complex cybersecurity projects • Represent Surefire Cyber as a consulting resource when needed • Collaborate with DFIR and Advisory teams to ensure engagements run smoothly and after-action items are completed • Prioritize and deliver project roadmaps and initiatives with the Director of Customer Success and fellow Project Managers • Build relationships and communicate with internal stakeholders and clients to align strategies with business and incident response objectives • Participate in project meetings and continuous improvement efforts • Manage cyber incident response projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time, in-scope, and on-budget delivery • Facilitate project plans covering incident response strategies, handling procedures, stakeholder communications, and resource allocation • Monitor engagement goals, deliverables, milestones, and resource allocation • Collaborate with IT, legal, HR, external clients, and vendors • Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies and develop mitigation strategies • Assist with post-incident reviews and lessons-learned sessions • Stay current with cyber threats, attack techniques, incident response technologies, and best practices • Establish roles and responsibilities and foster collaborative incident response teams • Ensure compliance with incident response frameworks, regulations, and industry standards • Create, manage, and distribute project artifacts such as SOWs and budget updates • Lead stakeholders across one or more business units • Establish practices, templates, policies, and tools to mature incident response capabilities • Provide after-hours on-call/weekend rotational support for critical incidents

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or applicable professional experience as a Project Manager, particularly in cyber incident response management • Understanding of incident response methodologies, frameworks, and best practices, including NIST SP 800-61, ISO 27035, and the SANS incident response lifecycle • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills • Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices • Exposure to incident response tools, technologies, and systems, including SIEM platforms, EDR solutions, and threat intelligence platforms • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Willingness to provide after-hours, on-call/weekend rotational support as required • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies • Eagerness to learn, grow knowledge, and teach colleagues
