📋 Description

• Design and continuously improve detection and alerting controls to reduce noise and enable rapid response • Architect, refine, and maintain custom YARA-L detection rules and SOAR playbooks in Google SecOps • Automate triage, alert enrichment, and initial incident response • Drive alert prioritization using a scalable, data-driven triage framework aligned with business impact and threat context • Lead end-to-end incident investigations in Google SecOps • Proactively hunt threats and use threat intelligence to identify new tactics, techniques, and procedures • Contain active incidents and drive root-cause remediation • Own incident handling from detection through resolution, including containment, eradication, and recovery • Collaborate with engineering, IT, business, and InfoSec teams • Define and maintain operational metrics for incident response • Drive continuous improvements in response speed, accuracy, and organizational readiness

🎯 Requirements

• Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a US public trust clearance • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent professional experience • Solid experience in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure), with strong understanding of cloud-native threats • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation and tooling development • Hands-on experience with SOC tools and platforms, including SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, and log management • Strong understanding of incident containment and eradication strategies • Familiarity with NIST 800-61, CIS Controls, MITRE ATT&CK, and ISO 27001 • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills • Ability to consume and synthesize threat intelligence • Proficiency in process formulation and improvement • Background in threat modeling, adversary emulation, and risk-based alert tuning • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences • Proven track record of leading cross-functional efforts in high-pressure situations • Ability to foster collaboration across InfoSec, IT, and engineering teams • Forensics experience, including investigating incidents and preserving digital evidence • Ability to leverage AI to automate and optimize security operations workflows • Ability to design and maintain AI-assisted runbooks with human-in-the-loop validation • Ability to integrate security tooling with AI platforms and APIs • Experience enhancing vulnerability management and incident response workflows through intelligent prioritization and contextualization • Ability to evaluate the accuracy, reliability, and security implications of AI-assisted decisions • At least Level 1 AI proficiency, using AI daily to boost personal productivity
