📋 Description

• Oversee the overall general ledger and accounting-related activities for assigned Sysco entities and accounts • Review and approve monthly and quarterly account reconciliations • Review and approve medium to high risk journal entries • Act as the escalation point of contact for assigned balance sheet accounts • Manage month-end task lists, including BPC reporting packages for financial consolidation • Attend stakeholder meetings to discuss open risks and develop action plans • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures • Develop and perform analytics on key accounts • Apply the Financial & Accounting Methods Manual and suggest updates • Support internal and external audit requests • Review and provide feedback on reconciliations, journal entries, and other assigned tasks • Review and approve standard operating procedures • Mentor new Accounting Analysts and Staff Accountants on Sysco accounting processes and culture • Suggest process improvements and streamline end-to-end processes • Support the Accounting Team Lead on overall team management • Complete special projects as necessary • Ensure adherence to department goals, metrics, internal audit reports, and SLAs

🎯 Requirements

• 5 years Accounting or related experience required • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance required • Demonstrates the ability to analyze and reconcile reports • Ability to find & resolve discrepancies • Able to work cross-functionally to solve problems • Proficiency with Microsoft Office • Proficiency with specialized accounting / finance software ERP Systems (i.e., Workday) • Strong communication skills • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States
