📋 Description

• Investigate automated system flags across priority threat categories • Triage ransomware and malware authoring or obfuscation cases • Investigate local and remote exploit discovery and weaponization • Investigate large-scale data scraping and automated exfiltration • Investigate offensive operations, reconnaissance, and intrusion staging • Determine whether activity represents benign security research or actionable policy violations • Apply precise, policy-aligned labels to adjudicated cases • Map user prompts and tool usage to MITRE ATT&CK tactics and techniques • Conduct targeted OSINT research on indicators, tooling, and infrastructure • Prepare concise, evidence-backed case dossiers for escalation to Senior and Principal Investigators • Participate in pod calibration sessions and incorporate quality feedback • Support a frontline cyber investigations pod for an AI research and safety company • Provide analytical ground truth to improve automated machine-learning safety filters

🎯 Requirements

• 1–3 years of practical experience in SOC analysis (Tier 1/2), digital forensics, incident response (DFIR), threat intelligence, military cyber operations, or technical OSINT investigations • Solid working knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK matrix • Basic knowledge of network and system internals • Understanding of common cyber intrusions and exploit chains • Ability to synthesize complex case details into concise, objective written English summaries under operational timelines • Curiosity, attention to detail, and sound judgment when evaluating noisy, incomplete, or borderline information • Based in the United States • Unrestricted work authorization in the United States • Texas residency preferred • Nice to have: military service, government intelligence, or federal/local cyber law enforcement background • Nice to have: practical exposure to SQL, Python, or Bash for basic log parsing and telemetry review • Nice to have: foundational cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, GSEC, GCIH, or CEH • Nice to have: active or previously held U.S. Government Security Clearance (Secret or higher) • Nice to have: familiarity with large language models, prompt engineering, or AI red-teaming concepts • Daily responsibilities involve reviewing flagged prompts, exploit instructions, offensive scripts, and potentially malicious payloads • May require rotational shift or weekend/holiday coverage • Selected candidates may be subject to client-directed insider threat screening and specialized background checks
