• Act as a subject matter expert for portfolio-defined workstreams within quarterly Expected Credit Loss and Provision for Credit Loss allowance calculation processes • Advise Credit Risk executives and process partners on the strategy, design, enhancement, and execution of IFRS9 and CECL credit allowance models • Participate in projects and initiatives from concept through delivery, ensuring complete execution and regulatory alignment • Coordinate with senior leadership, stakeholders, business partners, and cross-functional teams on the quarterly credit allowance process • Interpret complex business issues and generate multifaceted insights to drive growth or address business needs • Present insights and recommended actions using audience-appropriate visualizations and presentations • Translate business requirements into analytics and reporting needs • Investigate data and analytics issues, explain anomalies and outliers, and recommend resolutions • Build business requirements, facilitate project execution, and deliver fact-based analytical advice • Gather analytics demand from business teams and work with the analytics hub to fulfill it • Develop analyses, execute data requests accurately and promptly, and train users to integrate analytics into decisions • Lead or facilitate remediation actions for performance, risk, and governance issues • Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements and maintain effective risk-management controls • Manage stakeholder relationships, monitor regulatory developments, and communicate project status • Contribute thought leadership, knowledge transfer, mentorship, and team development
• Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred in mathematics, physics, engineering, finance, computer science, or a related field • Graduate degree preferred with progressive project work experience, or 7+ years of relevant experience • 7+ years of relevant experience • Credit knowledge and understanding of regulatory expectations • Ability to build and maintain relationships and make judgment decisions in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment • Ability to manage multiple initiatives with varying risk, timeframe, and coordination • Ability to learn, research, and report on data issues using bank software such as Alteryx and Excel • Foundational knowledge of the loan lifecycle, including adjudication, risk ratings, categorization/classifications, and the reserve process • Knowledge of IFRS9 and CECL credit allowance models and quarterly ECL/PCL processes • Ability to interpret complex data and analytics outcomes and generate multidimensional insights • Ability to use quantitative and qualitative methodologies to interpret and present data • Ability to understand data capabilities and translate business requirements into analytics requirements • Ability to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements, financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals, and asset controls
