📋 Description

• Provide technical leadership across the Analytics function • Create, develop, and maintain AML typologies • Leverage analytics to proactively identify and mitigate financial crime risks • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support Financial Intelligence Units through targeted data analysis • Contribute to strategic initiatives strengthening AML efforts across the organization • Oversee execution of multiple projects within established timelines • Provide second-level project oversight • Work with business owners to identify opportunities and serve as a data science ambassador • Understand business context and data infrastructure and translate business problems into data science solutions • Extract and prepare data using programming languages such as Python • Apply statistics and advanced analytics to extract insights from big data • Visualize data insights and communicate findings to decision-makers and stakeholders • Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and developers to build scalable, sustainable data science solutions • Provide analytical thought leadership and stay current on data mining and data science developments • Improve business processes through data-driven insights • Educate the organization on hypothesis testing and statistical validation • Support continuous improvement, risk, governance, and remediation initiatives • Manage relationships across business lines, corporate functions, and control functions • Monitor emerging issues, trends, and regulatory requirements • Maintain a culture of risk management and control • Participate in knowledge transfer, mentoring, team development, and cross-functional initiatives • Keep stakeholders informed about project status and relevant day-to-day information

🎯 Requirements

• Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen or a U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) • Must not require current or future TD sponsorship • 5+ years of relevant experience, or progressive project work experience with a preferred degree • Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred, such as math, physics, engineering, finance, or computer science • Graduate degree preferred • Experience in Financial Crimes / Compliance Risk Analytics • Experience generating data and analytics insights and addressing transaction monitoring system efficiency and effectiveness • Experience with data transformation, ETL, and combining data from multiple sources • Hands-on experience developing, validating, and deploying machine learning models • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Python, SQL, and Databricks • Experience with generative and agentic AI • Knowledge of data mining, statistics, advanced analytics, and data science techniques • Ability to translate business problems into viable data science solutions • Ability to visualize insights and communicate results to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Ability to work with data and business analysts, software engineers, data engineers, and application developers • Ability to work independently on technical data management solutions • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects • Ability to travel domestically occasionally • U.S. work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship
