📋 Description

• Manage a team of specialists/coordinators within a learning and development specialization or practice area • Facilitate companywide training and development programs supporting business-unit strategic goals • Use varied learning and delivery methods • Assess training needs and measure training results • Develop training programs, curriculum, and materials • Consult with business-unit managers to assess needs, design programs, and implement training and development programs • Lead L&D specialists/professionals across various business locations/geographies • Contribute to strategic L&D initiatives and decisions within the area of expertise • Identify needs to negotiate and influence within the business line and recommend solutions • Support the training budget and take corrective action as required • Review vendor/consultant relationships for effectiveness • Analyze training-program value and evaluate alternatives within budget constraints • Recruit, select, develop, coach, and evaluate a diverse team • Collaborate to identify, analyze, and resolve operational issues aligned with TD University strategy and objectives • Determine when computer-based or web-based training is the most efficient response • Assess operational objectives and help design targeted materials while minimizing lost productivity

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or progressive work experience in addition to the experience below • 5+ years related experience required • Expert presentation and facilitation skills • In-depth knowledge of training practices and principles of adult learning theory • Ability to analyze training feedback and appropriately modify training programs • Proven leadership ability to manage and provide for the professional development of retail staff across the network • Excellent communication skills to relate to all levels of staff and in a variety of settings • Ability to work flexible hours and travel throughout the TD footprint • Occasional domestic travel • Sedentary work, operating standard office equipment, concentrating for long periods, reading/writing/comprehending instructions, and basic arithmetic on a continuous basis
