• Mentor and provide direct oversight of day-to-day supervisory activities for the Revenue Cycle Services Team • Ensure delivery of revenue cycle assessment, systemic issue identification, system/process solutions, revenue cycle integrity assessment, workflow processes, billing, and outstanding accounts receivable resolution • Monitor team workload • Supervise the Revenue Cycle Team by delegating tasks, monitoring progress, and evaluating timeliness, quality, and policy compliance • Coordinate and lead daily team activities • Perform revenue cycle analyst work as needed • Onboard and train new team members • Develop and coach team members • Provide management feedback on team member performance and participate in evaluations, coaching, and corrective action • Foster employee engagement and a supportive work environment • Oversee customer contracts for timely service delivery and accurate status reporting • Monitor Revenue Cycle KPIs and collaborate with management to improve cash flow, reduce denials, and minimize bad debt • Research denial trends and resolve root causes with department leadership • Maintain strong knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management processes • Develop new processes and improve existing processes for quality, efficiency, and speed • Enforce guidelines, processes, and procedures for objectives and regulatory compliance • Assist with management decisions and contribute to team planning and strategy • Perform other related duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Accounting, Math, Business or related fields; or equivalent combination of education and experience • 5+ years related experience, including at least 3 years of supervisory experience • Extensive experience implementing, supporting, optimizing, and upgrading MEDITECH and/or other EMR • Experience mentoring less experienced team members • Experience being evaluated against and creating action plans based on financial goals and targets to create a profitable service line • Complete understanding and in-depth working knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle • Working knowledge of medical terminology, billing guidelines, HIPAA, and compliance • Solid knowledge of third-party billing requirements and HIPAA 837/835 electronic language • W2 project-based consultants must provide a computing device adhering to industry standards and security best practices • Ability to maintain high standards for work quality • Ability to thrive under time constraints • Service mentality • Autonomy and excellent follow-through • Openness to feedback and willingness to grow skills • Ability to adapt to change, delays, or unexpected events while maintaining a positive mindset
