📋 Description

• Perform all billing and collection activities for assigned fee-for-service and third-party facilities • Handle billing and collections involving Medicare, Medi-Cal/Medicaid, counties, commercial insurance, and members served • Stay current on applicable CPT and other coding changes • Track fee-for-service and/or contract billing rate changes • Communicate coding and billing-rate changes to affected Telecare parties • Travel occasionally to locations where Telecare does business or plans to do business

🎯 Requirements

• Five (5) years of prior medical billing experience or two (2) years of college and one (1) year of healthcare experience • Extensive knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal/Medicaid, and commercial insurances • High level of PC literacy, especially in Excel and Word • Ability to operate independently, utilizing extensive reimbursement experience and judgment • Demonstrated capacity to work with sophisticated automated billing systems • Must be fingerprinted and receive clearance from the Department of Justice and the Office of Inspector General • Must be at least 18 years of age • Successful completion of applicable post-offer physical examination • Successful completion of a 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis • Acceptable criminal background clearances and excluded party sanctions • Degree or license verification, where applicable • Must be based in Mountain Time (MT) or Pacific Standard Time (PST)
