📋 Description

• Follow standards and goals for the engineering department • Assist in documenting and developing industry best practices, standards and guidelines • Attend project meetings, develop reports and status of design deliverables • Prepares detailed mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural designs for solar arrays • Coordinates with Project Managers, and other project participants to define project design basis and project goals • Uses understanding of system performance, construction logistics, material and labor costs to optimize designs • Responsible for creating and maintaining design packages • Adopts necessary document control measures to manage internal and external design documentation • Creates Bills of Materials for projects • Holds design review meetings with internal and external parties as needed to maintain proper QC/QA on their projects • Assists in development of departmental processes and best practices for the team

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture • Minimum of 3 years project engineering experience in the design/build, EPC or utility electricity generation field producing technical CAD documents • Strong AutoCAD skills, SolidWorks is a plus • Working knowledge of electrical and civil design, materials and methods of installation • Strong familiarity with construction and electrical codes • Experience in the solar PV industry or other power generation sectors, and experience creating utility scale permitting and construction documents
