📋 Description

• Perform field testing, observation, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel • Work on transportation, commercial building, wind farm, and other construction projects • Communicate with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding site requirements and testing results • Transport material samples and identifying documentation to laboratories for further testing and analysis • Tabulate, prepare, and submit written and digital reports for daily transmittal to the Terracon Project Manager • Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas • Assist with scheduling and dispatching technicians to project sites • Perform tasks and basic testing duties under close supervision • Document findings and results and communicate data accuracy to the Project Manager • Maintain assigned equipment and quality standards • Follow safety rules, perform pre-task planning, and report safety concerns • Progressively assume increased training and responsibility

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • 6 months experience required • Willingness to travel up to 100% and for extended periods without the ability to travel home • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including overtime, weekends, and extended shifts as project demands require • A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required • Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire • Successful completion of related internal safety certifications • Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire is preferred • Ability to work independently with limited supervision • Ability to work collaboratively across geographic locations and work environments • Ability to adapt to changing project environments, jobsite conditions, and diverse team structures • Strong safety mindset and ability to identify site-specific hazards and assess changing field conditions • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
