📋 Description

• Review, edit, and refine reports, briefings, presentations, station profile updates, operational requirements documents, capability gap materials, and acquisition-related documentation • Develop and refine content tailored to stakeholder needs • Ensure documents comply with DHS, CBP, and USBP formatting, style, routing, approval, template, and document control requirements • Maintain consistency in messaging, terminology, tone, and structure across deliverables • Coordinate with subject matter experts, field personnel, program offices, and leadership stakeholders • Support operational requirements, capability gap analysis, acquisition, and requirements management mission needs • Produce written products that translate operational needs, capability gaps, and requirements into clear, actionable documentation for USBP and CBP leadership

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Management, Engineering or a related field • 5–10 years of relevant experience • Proficiency with the DHS Acquisition Lifecycle and developing Acquisition Decision Event documents and other related technical documentation • Proven technical writing and editing experience • Experience with fact-checking, citation management, and style guides • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint) • Advanced skills in Word’s Track Changes and document formatting • Background in marketing, communications, business, or change management • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to coordinate tasks and set priorities with minimal supervision • Detail-oriented, team-oriented, and adaptable in a dynamic environment • Ability to pass a government background investigation • U.S. citizenship required for suitability determination • Active CBP background investigation preferred
