The Columbus Organization is a nonprofit (or mission-driven) services organization that empowers individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and behavioral needs to achieve meaningful-life goals. It provides nationally recognized care coordination (case/support coordination), professional clinical staffing (on-site staffing and consultative services), and quality improvement services to families, individuals, and agencies supporting special needs populations. Since 1984, Columbus has worked with over 140 state and local agencies across 40+ states and DC, helping solve staffing, regulatory, certification, litigation, and programmatic challenges through expertise in clinical practice, recruitment, training, forensic and litigation support, and policy development.

📋 Description

• You'll be the person who makes sure that promise holds on our most complex, highest-risk terrain: revenue. • You'll own ASC 606 revenue recognition end-to-end, the deferred revenue subledger (including license/maintenance carve-outs and SSP judgments), GL standards enforcement for revenue accounts, and audit-ready journal entry preparation. • You'll join the Accounting Team, reporting directly to the Controller, as the technical owner of revenue accounting. • You'll own the MRR-to-deferred-revenue reconciliation and the ARR Snowball, giving the business a clean, accounting-owned view of recurring revenue actuals. • You'll work daily in NetSuite, Stripe, Pigment, Ramp, Salesforce, Claude, and Cloud Coach.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep, hands-on ASC 606 expertise: multi-element arrangements, SSP analysis, variable consideration, contract modifications. • You treat "audit-ready" as a daily standard, not a year-end scramble. • You understand what it means to own a named, high-risk control and you take that accountability seriously. • Data-driven and pattern-oriented; you build the ARR Snowball and reconciliations that turn raw numbers into a reliable, defensible story. • You see technology and automation as a force multiplier, not a threat. • You build systems that prevent errors before they happen. • You connect revenue accounting to the broader business story, partnering fluently with FP&A, Sales, and Legal rather than working in a silo. • You handle sensitive financial information and judgment calls with discretion, and you're comfortable being the named owner of our highest-risk control.
