📋 Description

• Serve as a lead relationship owner for InsuranceAUM’s sponsor community, cultivating and strengthening partnerships with asset management firms and other sponsor organizations • Identify, prospect, and secure new sponsorship opportunities • Develop sponsorship structures, pricing, and renewal strategies with the Executive Director • Represent InsuranceAUM at industry conferences, sponsor meetings, and member events • Develop and execute member and community growth and engagement strategies • Develop, monitor, and report metrics assessing membership, community engagement, and communications efforts • Prospect and develop new membership and community opportunities focused on insurance-carrier investment and finance professionals • Implement business development strategies to grow and retain the membership community • Coordinate content, events, marketing, and operations for a seamless member and community experience • Partner on strategy and content for signature events, regional forums, and topical forums • Collaborate with content, marketing, and operations teams • Cultivate a positive workplace environment through leadership, relationships, and employee empowerment • Train, develop, and manage colleagues • Serve as a strategic partner to the Executive Director and lead on the Executive Director’s behalf as needed • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Undergraduate degree required • Graduate degree preferred • 10+ years of membership, community engagement, or related experience required • Experience in a membership organization, professional association, or other not-for-profit organization preferred • Successful B2B sales and business development experience required • Proven experience leading and managing member- or customer-facing teams strongly preferred • Experience in the insurance or asset management industry strongly preferred • Familiarity with Chief Investment Officers and institutional investment professionals strongly preferred • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to interact with and influence all levels of the organization, internally and externally • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) required • Proficiency in sales CRM • Customer service orientation • Ability to present information and respond to questions professionally and effectively • Strong interpersonal skills for developing internal and external alliances • Relationship sales skills, including retaining business and closing sales • Ability to conduct discovery sessions and determine fit between customer requirements and The Institutes’ solution set • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment • Exceptional rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills • Strategic and creative problem-solving ability • Ability to work significant portions of the day seated and at a computer workstation • Ability to work non-traditional hours when required • Willingness to travel to industry conferences, sponsor meetings, and InsuranceAUM events
